Last time I gave an update I had gone to see my doctor because of some bad back pain. I got a CAT scan and it showed inflammation of the lung which was caused by the radiation therapy. The condition is called pneumonitis and they say it can be treated with heavy steroids. I wanted to hold off but after three days of sleepless pain I called my doctor and he got me setup for the steroid treatment. Six pills a day for two weeks, then four a day for another two weeks, then two a day for another two weeks then one a day for a final two weeks. In July they want to do PET scan which will give me much more definite answers about if the cancer cells are dead or not.
Meanwhile my hair has come back in full glory! I am now ash blonde, so they tell me. Part of me wants to never cut my hair again and see how that turns out, but we will see.
Other big news: Sarah and I are moving to the 160 to be a big part of the community at the Jews for Jesus hospitality house. We should be settled in by June 1st… Sarah’s birthday FYI. It is my hope to see the community grow and become a significant ministry to the believing Jewish community of San Francisco. We will be hosting Shabbat dinners as well as some other fun future events. I am also super stoked for the non-conference Grassroots SF in the fall. Let’s see what else… oh yes! The Gilgal Live Worship Album is now available for a free download, so if you go to camp, support camp, or just love Jesus, please download the album and consider giving towards the camp program. It costs $650 to send a kid to camp and we don’t want a single kid to miss out because of such a small thing as money. So, do a car wash, mow some lawns, sell some chocolate, or just give 😉 Click Here
That is all folks. Please continue to pray for me. Waiting is the hardest part… although chemo was pretty hard too.
