If a terribly made movie that was re-dubbed can cause a group of Muslim extremest to go ballistic and kill and sodomize people, what can a well made film cause these people to do? I have been watching the news and find it very interesting that this film has been propagated to all these Islamic nations and the kind of reaction it caused. I saw the film trailer on the trending video section of Youtube and it was ridiculously badly made.
Mad props to Youtube for making a stand of freedom of speech and keeping the film up regardless of the many violent threats received.
Here is the thing, an offensive crappy film is no excuse for violence.
I do not think these murders were done because of this film. There is to much coincidence in that this was the anniversary of 9/11. This was just a small fraction added to a deeply seeded hatred. So I wonder if Mel Gibson decided to make a film of a historically accurate version of Muhammad using the context of the Koran would we see this kind of response? I don’t know what do you think?
