I am about to throw down on a film… here goes. I just got home from seeing “LockedOut” which had advertized itself to be another action packed, mildly futuristic, intense CGI Graphics, and a large cast of somewhat known people who can act… False, this film proved to be with out a doubt the worst piece of story I have ever endured. Within 3 minutes our hero is riding a one wheeled motorcycle aka motor unicycle in front of the worst green screen graphics I have ever seen.
We are then introduced to the convicts of outer space, that’s right a space station prison that is run by 5 people and a few extras and countless convicts who are in cryostasis doing their time. Wait what, how are prisoners suppose to be rehabilitated if they are asleep the whole time… ok never mind stay focused. So the President of theUnited Stateshas allowed his daughter to go and visit the station to check if this new experimental form of imprisonment is humane. Along for the ride are the worsted body guards and basically the entire reason there was any conflict in this story. So Mr. Body guard decided not to check his secret sock gun while entering the compound and guess what happens. Yup, the most insane convict gets the gun during a questioning and shoots the wall which explodes…What!? Why did the wall explode?
Anyways that’s when all the trouble starts and our hero is sent onboard con air style and has an automatic weapon that never runs out of bullets along with some humorous explosive devices that made me lol twice.
Ok I’m tired, the best part of this movie were the trailers for better movies, after those it was a waste of time.
A few questions the film makers should have asked themselves:
If you jump out of a spaceship will you actually fall?
When things explode in space, is a fire ball they most accurate way to animate such explosions since their is not atmosphere?
When the body guard decides to kill himself because he did a bad job, where did he get another hidden pistol and if he had it the whole time why didn’t he use it to defend himself?
