I made this illustration just for fun to show… well um, how a Jew can be for Jesus. This assumption that the world makes that Jews are not allowed to follow Jesus is a lie. It does not take much to see that Jesus is obviously for Jews but people have become indoctrinated and rarely will they take just a few moments and investigate the claims of Jesus. Unless they were absolutely in denial there are no strong arguments against Jesus’ Messiahship. It is not the lack of evidence that holds Jewish people back from the truth, it is their fear of rejection. Quite seriously if a Jewish person comes to faith in Jesus they are at risk of being cast out of their families and community. This hatred of Jesus is so deeply rooted that just the mention of His name is enough to get grandmas to spit their dentures at you and call you a traitor. Still I think hostility is a far greater response than apathy.
Sometimes it blows my mind how little my people know about Jesus. They act with so much hostility to the man who died so they might live. They cling to their same oppressors that were in control during Jesus’ time on earth. The religious leaders of Jesus’ day are not much different than the religious leaders of today. Power hungry, prideful, hypocritical, and loud, just to name a few traits. I don’t know how God does it, but somehow God is able to transform the most terrifying people into humble, gentle, followers of Jesus. When this happens it is always a shock to me.
So this brings me to my point. NOTHING is impossible for God, Jesus is for the Jewish people and everyone else, keep praying that God will transform the hostile people into gentle followers of Messiah.
